As the cold and rainy Melbourne winter is almost upon us, this week’s Maha Go special is guaranteed to warm you up with some big rainy day flavours.
Two slowly cooked beef cheeks that have been glazed in a sticky and sweet pomegranate sauce are tender and delicious. Dressed with a pickled and foraged pine mushroom, pine nuts and currant dressing to help balance off some of the decadence of the pomegranate glaze.
All of this flavour is served with a generous side of butter mashed potatoes with roasted cabbage, onions, garlic and basturma.
We have a feeling that this weeks special may be a permanent feature for all of the winter months!
